The Best Corporate Party Ever

I have been working for the same accounting firm for 32 years now. I have seen lots of changes during my time there. Over the years I have witnessed changes in technology, upper management, policies and procedures and even changes in corporate entertainment for our annual office parties and gatherings. This year’s company-wide employee appreciation party was the best one I have ever attended. It seemed like the ones who planned it went the extra mile to ensure that we all had a fun and memorable time. It was a huge success and is still talked about around the water cooler.

We were all surprised and excited when we arrived at the employee appreciation event when we saw two different game shows set up for us to play. There were even a couple of photo booths for us to capture the essence of the evening forever. The games shows were modeled after Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. I myself was stoked to participate in one or both of these. It looked like so much fun. There was another stage that was set up for stand up comedians which is something I thoroughly enjoy. The food buffet was amazing and had delicacies on it that I have never seen on a buffet before. Every time you turned around you could see how much fun everybody was having.

I think this was the only corporate event I ever attended that did not have the majority of employees leaving early. Most of the time we could not wait to get out of there and go along our way. But not this time. If I’m not mistaken, they had to ask us to leave at the end of the night because the venue was getting ready to close down. It was a huge success and the entertainment company that was used that night did a spectacular job.
